- This module will help you grow your ability to really inspire your horse and work with the right essences.
- You will always know WHY you do what you do and never loose sight of the essence.

Module 2
Tools & Aids
The biggest handicap of a human being is their timing and dosing of pressure and release. As predators, we are very good at grabbing, catching, holding, grasping, snatching, pushing, and pulling with our hands. As a result, we are experts in applying too much, too long, too often, sudden, and steady pressure.
So we need to master our timing and dosing of our aids. That's where this module comes in:
- Learn how why we use what we use and how to use your tools and aids in a useful way.
- Discover the mysterious world of half-halts and that there are 10 different categories of half halts.
- Find out how to use your tools and aids effectively — doing the right things — and efficiently — doing things right.
Module 3
Groundwork
Most riders try to fix their horses in the saddle. But your horse's imbalance doesn't start in the saddle. It starts on the ground.
This module teaches you how to focus on the root cause instead of fighting the symptoms.
- Discover how to counteract your horse's natural asymmetry from the ground.
- Learn how to rebalance your horse effectively with gymnastic exercises.
- Get STep by STep guidance and create lasting relaxation in your horse's muscles and mind.
Module 4
Longeing
Most riders think circles are easy, but it’s one of the hardest exercises a horse can perform. If we are not aware of our horse's natural asymmetry, our horse will fall on or over the the shoulders.
The solution is: teach your horse to turn. This module will help you with that:
- Discover the huge difference between ‘falling’ and ‘turning’.
- Explore a horse friendly way that allows your horse to bend his body equally and easily to both sides.
- Learn how to stretch, contract, and relax your horse's muscles to get rid of tension and stress for good.
Module 5
Work in Hand
Most people think that they can control their horse buy controlling their head with their reins and ropes, but nothing is further from the truth. Because the more we use the reins, the less our horse will use their brains. Which mean they can easily go into fight-flight mode.
The solution is using our reins in an different way. That's where work in hand comes in:
- Learn how to guide your horse's shoulders with your inside and outside rein, so you can influence the position of their feet.
- Build a solid bridge to riding, because the way you use your reins in work in hand will be exactly the same as in riding.
- Get a reliable, strong horse that is prepared to carry you easily and safely, wherever you go.
Module 6
Riding
Most people ride their horse for one hour: Walk, trot, canter. Mainly on the 'easy' side. Avoiding the 'difficult side'. But this only increases your horse's stiffness in body and mind.
The solution is not seeing riding as a daily activity, but as a way to gymnastize your horse:
- Learn how to take the balance and suppleness from the ground to the riding.
- Know what to do to keep the relaxed posture under saddle.
- Discover how to prevent stressful situations and set your riding up for success.
Module 7
ST at Liberty
When riders take off the halter, bridle or cavesson, a most horses leave. Not when you do Straightness Training.
At liberty, the science and the art of Straightness Training come together.
- You'll learn how to mainly use your inner picture and inner feeling in the communication with your horse
- Learn how to synchronize with your horse and achieve complete harmony, togetherness and oneness in your partnership

Horse Training 101
What we think, feel and do, has an effect on our horse. And if we don't like our horse's behavior it's either because of a misunderstanding or lack of motivation, or both. So for our horse to change, we have to change.
This module helps you become master in interaction, motivation and schooling:
- You're learn how to avoid the extreme and "stay in the balanced green" were understanding and motivation live.
- You'll discover the power of the 5R formula that you can use to teach your horse any behavior and any exercise, and build trust instead of tension.
- Our horse is not a problem or impossible, we just have to become our horse's possibility partner by working harder on ourselves than on our horse.
Module 9
ST Philosophy
There is a difference between knowing ST intellectually and knowing it as an experience.
To grasp the Straightness Training Universe, we have to embrace that nothing in horse training is black or white, realizing that the magic is in the grey and that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Module 1: S-ituations
From story to facts
We all deal with difficult situations: stormy weather, injuries, accidents, or illnesses can prevent us from training our horses. But the question is not if we will face a challenging situation, but when.
And then, what story do we tell ourselves? Is it horrible, terrible and is the world coming to an end? Or is it a gift in disguise and the beginning of something new?
- In this module, you'll discover the difference between clean pain and dirty pain.
- You'll learn how to avoid adding drama to the drama, because adding mental and emotional drama on top of physical drama makes the situation only worse.
